The Millennium City - Gurgaon (India)

Gurgaon is called the millennium city because the most developments of the city happened in the millennium year 2000. I could rather say that the entire view of this so called GAON (Means village in Hindi) is being being transferred into a city in this particular millennium year period. But i have many bitter experiences with this GAON ( "I said GAON again here because it can be better called GAON than a city") because of the overwhelming electricity and transportation problems. Can you believe this 'there can be power cuts of around 8 hours/day in peak times during summer and also in winter which is very irritating. Even in my town called PAKALA there are power cuts of around 4 hours during the very peak hours in summer.

And the transportation in gurgaon are mostly 'Ape' auto rickshaws. The most fascinating thing about these vehicles is that they can hold 16 people (4 people in the back+8 people in the middle+3 people in the front+driver) in them which is greater than the amount of people seating in vehicles like TATA Sumo, Mahindra Scorpio etc. But the Delhi metro ( A metro train) constructions works have been started in the year 2006 in gurgoan which is supposed to be completed by 2010. Hope that the transportation situation in gurgaon gets improved after the work is completed successfully if everything goes well.I think i was punished by the almighty (If he really exists) because of the sins i committed in my life by throwing me in Gurgaon.

But some of the only things that you can enjoy are the shopping malls. Shopping malls in gurgaon are really huge and very entertaining may be in terms of their aesthetic appearance,♀ quotient, Exciting discounts on branded products etc. But after some time even these become boring. I think the range of movie ticket prices in any city is an indicative parameter of the lifestyle of the city. The ticket price range for movies here are very costly (Rs.150 - 175/-) and from this we can expect the cost of living to be high. And coming to climate its very dusty/sultry during the summers, nail biting cold during the winters and very little rainy period during which the improper roads become very damp in the streets which makes life miserable for walking.

I am able to spend my life in gurgaon because i have my own PC in here which provide entertainment to me otherwise i would have gone mad in here.

Finally i say that "Gurgaon is a city with pros & cons ".

Ya Gurgaon surely has the problem of transportation and electricity , there are few projects going on we can hope things to get better in next 2-3 years ,but my friend once you have your vehicle it surely will be more fun than living in a PAKALA (Andhra ..LOL)
